Welcome to the library!

Borrow books, e-books and films

If you wish to borrow something you need a library card. The library card is free of charge, contact the staff to register. Don't forget to bring your ID!

Once you have a library card you can borrow e.g. books, films and magazines. You can also borrow e-books on your smart phone or computer. Just ask the staff for more information.

Computers and wi-fi

We have computers you can use if you have a library card. We also have a computer available to use for a short period, but if you need to use a computer for a longer period you can ask the staff to book a computer for you.

With a library card you can also search a few different factual databases offered by the library, either remotely via your own computer or on the library’s computers. The databases include e.g. information about grants and resources for genealogy.

If you bring your own computer you can use the library’s wi-fi to connect to the Internet free of charge.

Meröppet - the Open Library

In addition to the opening hours with staff available the libraries in Kävlinge are also open with self-service everyday.

Kävlinge library 08.00 – 22.00
Löddeköpinge library 07.00 – 20.00

Contact the staff during opening hours to register. All you need is a library card and your ID. Everybody over the age of 16 years can become a registered Open Library user. If you are under 18 years, a parent's or legal guardian's signature is needed.

You get access to the library with your library card and your PIN code. Feel free to bring family members or friends! During unstaffed hours you can e.g. borrow and return books, pick up reserved books and use the library's computers. Unfortunately you cannot use the printer or photocopier when the library is unstaffed.

If you require assistance or need any help you are welcome to visit the library during staffed opening hours.

Ask a librarian!

Library staff can help you find books and other media you are looking for. If you want to know how to download e-books or how to get an e-mail account you can book an appointment with a librarian.

For small children and their parents

The library offers many activities for small children. We offer sing-songs, theatre, films and activity sessions all year round – with extra activities during the school holidays.
